The interview process

EMEA listings say applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply early; Morgan Stanley will email once a decision has been reached and cannot speed up timelines. US Strats and AlphaWise listings run in two waves with an online assessment required to complete the application.

    US Fixed Income and Equity Strats listings: an online assessment is required for the application to be complete; invitations go out from early September and candidates have 48 hours. AlphaWise: a one-hour online assessment, to be completed within 48 hours of being sent, after the October deadline.

    Asia-Pacific Summer Associate listing: CV screening, then an on-demand video interview, a Zoom interview and a Superday (process may vary by location). The US Wealth Management Branch Analyst listing requires a HireVue digital questionnaire shortly after applying (11 Oct 2026 for the current cohort).

    US Strats and AlphaWise listings: first-round interviews and Superdays are held over Zoom (Fixed Income and Equity Strats first rounds from late September, Superdays from October). Asia-Pacific listings: Zoom interview, then Superday. Format varies by location and division.

    London summer analyst listings state that all assessment centres will be held in London.

    Interview style

    Morgan Stanley says interviews can be competency, strengths based, skills based or technical, and focus on your story, motivation, knowledge of the firm and the division you applied to.
