The interview process

  1. 1

    Plan and register for events

    Official

Optional: register for virtual and in-person events (information sessions, workshops, networking) through My GS Events; school careers offices and campus ambassadors can help.

  2. 2

    Online application

    Official

Apply through Goldman's application portal (linked from higher.gs.com). Each applicant may apply to up to 4 business/location combinations per recruiting year; extra applications are auto-withdrawn. Applications are evaluated throughout the season, so replies arrive at different times; EMEA and APAC programme pages say applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

  3. 3

    First interview (video)

    Official

If selected, a video interview of about 30 minutes. Engineering applicants take a HackerRank assessment instead.

  4. 4

    Superday

    Official

Series of final-round interviews, typically two to five for campus hires depending on the division, with a cross-section of people you could work with.

  5. 5

    Offer and status updates

    Official

Candidates are told when the application is received, later in the season with a status update, and at the end of the season; status can be checked in the application portal.
