The interview process
- 1
Online application (Workday)
OfficialApply on CPP Investments' careers site (Workday). Submit a resume, a cover letter and an unofficial transcript for each role; use a different cover letter for each role (it can be addressed to Hiring Manager). Applicants need a valid work permit or right to work in the role's location. Only current students are eligible for internships and full-time early-career roles; new graduates should check the job description. Graduate analyst roles are typically recruited a year ahead, with most posted in August.

Screening
OfficialThe posting says CPP Investments may use AI tools to help screen applications by analysing resumes for relevant skills and experience, with human decision-making retained; candidates are contacted through Workday.

Interviews
OfficialThe process varies by role and typically includes two rounds of interviews mixing behavioural and case questions. Assessment may also include group discussions and skill testing; the Early Investor internship uses a take-home case study, and some quantitative and technology roles use a programming challenge. Candidates receive an email with a detailed interview plan. The firm publishes interview preparation tips.
