The interview process

    Initial online assessments

    Two short interactive assessments on how you might perform in the workplace and your preferred ways of working; can be done on a phone or tablet. Technical programmes add a technical-skills assessment. Practice tests are offered on Barclays' assessment platform.

    Assessment centre

    In person or virtual, with two or three stages including a motivational interview with a member of the leadership team. Third-party AI tools (transcription bots, meeting assistants) are banned in interviews; use leads to withdrawal of the application.

    Offer and start

    Official

    Most internships start in June; most full-time graduate roles start in August or September; off-cycle internships (3-6 months) have flexible start dates.
